Language skills and learning go hand in hand. My language therapy addresses skills needed for academic success such as phonological awareness skills, listening skills, language based reasoning skills, reading readiness skills, oral and written narrative skills and organizational skills. Working closely with teachers, often utilizing the student’s academic materials, supports the student’s educational process while simultaneously attaining speech therapy goals.
To develop a student’s organizational skills, systems are set up for homework, projects and other activities.
My intention is to determine the speech and language needs of an individual and to choose treatment options that have the greatest impact in the shortest amount of time. Treatment strategies are up-to-date, using the latest technologies.
As part of the team process, I work closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals. My greatest satisfaction comes from making a difference in the life of a student.
